What You Need to Know
I am a classically-trained percussionist with decades of experience in both music performance and teaching.
While lessons may focus on marimba, other percussion and mallet instruments are available for study: snare drum, timpani, vibraphone, etc.
Lessons are located in my private studio in North San Diego County.
In the first lesson, I will get to know your child's strengths, playing level, things to develop (perhaps sight-reading or technique), and special interests (i.e. styles of music or four-mallet playing).
Elements of each lesson include technique exercises, solos, duets, and sight-reading. Bring your band or orchestra music if you need help!
A mallet instrument may be available for rent, upon request.
Pricing is $70 for a 1-hour lesson.
